Umsebenzi:
a. I-antioxidant yemvelo, esetshenziswa kakhulu emafutheni, ukudla okuqukethe amafutha, imboni ye-biomedicine, imboni yezimonyo njll njengezithasiselo zokudla eziluhlaza okwemvelo.
b. Sekela ukulwa nokuguga. Kunganciphisa ama-radicals amahhala akhiqizwa ngokweqile ngumzimba futhi aqede i-singlet oxygen ukuvikela ukwakheka kolwelwesi lweseli, okungaholela ekubambezeleni inqubo yokuguga.
